As Boise State continues to demonstrate a commitment to addressing the state’s grand challenges, the Healthy Idaho Grand Challenge initiative is offering funding to two solution-focused teams. Projects may continue for up to 18 months and will be asked to provide interim deliverables in May 2023 and final results by June 2024.

Background: What is Healthy Idaho?

Healthy Idaho is the second grand challenge initiative to emerge from Boise State University’s commitment to solution-oriented work to address challenging issues facing Idaho. This grand challenge has a broad focus on improving physical and social conditions to foster healthy and thriving communities throughout the state.

Applicants are invited to submit a proposal for projects that show clear potential for improving the health of Idahoans, which demonstrate a plan with specific and measurable outcomes/goals that can be accomplished within an 18-month project cycle. The team must be multidisciplinary and include community and/or industry partnership.

Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022. Funding decisions will be announced by Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023.
