Institute for Advancing American Values presents Day of Dialogue events Feb. 28 – March 2

The Day of Dialogue is an opportunity for individual academic units to host an event that explores a controversial issue within their respective academic field. Events can be structured in a number of ways, such as open forums, debates or traditional academic talks with a robust question and answer period. Events should model respective disagreement and full engagement with difficult and controversial topics, with the end goal of modeling polite disagreement. Academic units are encouraged to engage community members as speakers or audience members, but students who may not regularly be exposed to active and polite debate are especially encouraged to participate.
