Graefe presents on history of hate groups in Idaho

Alisha Graefe, an archivist in the library’s special collections and archives, recently presented a lecture entitled “A History of Hate: Hate Groups in Idaho.” The talk is part of the Queer History Project by the Latah County Historical Society and funded, in part, by the Idaho Humanities Council and further supported by the Latah County Human Rights Task Force and Inland Oasis.

Graefe, who has a masters in library information science degree, earned her first masters from Boise State in 2018 with her thesis, “American Hatred: Wild West Myths, Color-Coded Rhetoric, and the Shaping of the Aryan Nations.”

Graefe also works as the official archivist and Podfort director for Treefort Music Fest.
