eCampus team members present at conference

Four members of the eCampus team presented three sessions at the Online Learning Consortium Innovate Conference In April. The conference provides a path for education professionals to share best practices, test new ideas and collaborate on driving forward online, digital and blended learning.

During a virtual session, “From Course Developer To People Developer: Navigating Your Promotion To Manager Of An Instructional Design Team,” Laura Widenor, instructional design consultant and eCampus’s newest manager, talked about how her role changed over the past year.

Gina Persichini and Christy Aceves, both instructional design consultants, led a session, “Coordinating Communication: A Blueprint For Multi-Team Course Design And Development Projects,” where they shared solutions for overcoming communication challenges among team members during a course design and development project.

Lisa Berry, associate director of instructional design services, and Persichini discussed how the Boise State eCampus Center partners with academic departments to consider how to design both a fully online program and individual courses in a way that encourages student success. This discovery session was entitled, “Online Program And Course Design For Student Success.”

Faculty interested in collaborating with eCampus to get a course or program into a fully online format, can visit the eCampus Center website, or contact eCampus directly at ecampus@boisestate.edu to learn more.
