Emily Davies has been selected to lead the employer and alumni relations efforts of the Career Services team, replacing Vickie Coale who recently retired after 20 years at Boise State.
Davies joined the university in 2021 as the Employer Engagement Specialist and immediately made a positive impact on students’ experience by enhancing events and coaching nursing students through their job search process, said Career Center Director Debbie Kaylor. Prior to joining Boise State, Davies worked in higher education for nine years, most recently at West Coast University where she was the Lead Career Services Specialist focusing her time on developing partnerships with large hospital systems in Southern California, helping graduates find jobs in diverse nursing specialties, and implementing a pathway to employment program for senior nursing students.
In this role, Davies and her team will focus on building stronger relationships with top employers and identifying new employers to develop relationships with. Davies will be reaching out to stakeholders across campus to inform this process.
