IDeal, Idaho’s 529 college savings program, is hosting an online workshop for campus employees on Oct. 19.
Idaho residents can start an account with as little as $25 and those who own and contribute to Idaho 529 accounts qualify for Idaho state tax deductions. One of the benefits of having assets in an IDeal account is that it can be used to cover more than just tuition. Assets can also be used for qualified expenses such as room and board, books, computers, required supplies and paying off student loans.
Register for the IDeal Zoom training and, following the workshop, participants will have an option to sign up for in-person consultations located in the Student Union Building.
