Men’s Hockey Club raises $42,500 for local charity

The Boise State Men’s Hockey Club held their 12th Annual “Putting Senior Hunger on Ice” game on Saturday, Jan. 27. The event raised $42,500 in funds for Meals on Wheels Metro Boise. This equates to 8,500 meals for seniors and home-bound individuals residing in the Treasure Valley.

Over the past 12 years, the Boise State Men’s Hockey Club has demonstrated its commitment to community service through this initiative. Their efforts now total over $450,000 raised for the Meals on Wheels program.

Despite a 5-2 loss against University of Montana on Saturday, the weekend series concluded with a split and Boise State will head to the Mountain West Championships in Logan, Utah, on Feb. 7.
