Farid receives Boise State’s 2025 Global Impact Award

Arvin Farid, a professor of civil engineering, received the 2025 Global Impact Faculty Award, presented annually by Boise State’s Center for Global Engagement.

This award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated sustained and meaningful global engagement throughout their career, across across several key criteria: depth and breadth of international involvement, impact on students, contributions to academic disciplines, influence on the Boise and Idaho communities, and a strong commitment to innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration through global engagement.

Farid was honored for his transformative work in international education, global research, student support and cross-cultural collaboration.

Nominated by civil engineering faculty Mojtaba Sadegh, Farid was recognized for his leadership in developing study abroad opportunities, establishing partnerships with top global institutions and championing the internationalization of Boise State. His impact continues to resonate across campus and beyond, reflecting the very essence of the award.
