Ted Apel, a clinical associate professor in the Department of Games, Interactive Media and Mobile Technology, will participate in a May 2025 artist residency at Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 1964, Elektronmusikstudion is one of the longest-running electronic music studios in the world and remains a leading center for electroacoustic music and sound art.
At Elektronmusikstudion, Apel will develop a new immersive audio work that continues his exploration of digital audio processing techniques, using spatial sound and custom tools to create responsive listening environments.
Apel teaches courses in physical computing, virtual reality and audio for games and multimedia.
