Rollin Hansen, CEO of 208.properties, was named the Boise State College of Business and Economics Executive in Residence. This position recognizes an accomplished executive who is willing to share their insights and expertise with students in an academic setting. As part of this role, Hansen will teach a property management course – a new addition to the real estate curriculum offered by the Department of Finance. Property management involves core finance concepts including budgeting, forecasting and asset value. The class will be offered starting spring semester 2026.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Rollin Hansen to the College of Business and Economics,” said Mark Bannister, dean of the College of Business and Economics. “Rollin brings a wealth of practical experience in property management and real estate, and we’re excited for him to introduce a new course focused specifically on property management. This area of property management is critical to both the Treasure Valley and the nation, and this course gives COBE students a valuable opportunity to learn directly from a respected industry leader.”
Hansen was also recognized as a 2025 Idaho Business Review CEO of Influence Honoree. This award acknowledges talented business and nonprofit leaders from throughout Idaho for consistently demonstrating strong leadership, integrity, values, commitment to excellence and diversity.
In addition to his industry experience, Hansen has a background in education. He was a trainer in the military for years and has served as a coach and trainer in various industries. Teaching the property management class at Boise State combines his passion for education with his industry knowledge.
“With the current construction boom, the demand for asset and property managers in our industry is higher than ever,” Hansen said. “Boise State already has a great construction management program, but it doesn’t offer anything in property and asset management. These areas are essential for the long-term management of these new developments. This is a huge opportunity for Boise State to play a key role in the Treasure Valley’s real estate boom and a huge opportunity to lead the charge in Idaho.”
