The Chief Financial and Operating Officer announced two leadership changes in the Office of General Counsel this week.
Nikki Pantera, deputy general counsel, will assume the role of general counsel, and Matt Wilde, who has served as the university’s general counsel, will assume all legal matters related to Boise State Athletics, as Senior Counsel to Athletics.
Prior to joining Boise State’s Office of General Counsel in 2013, Wilde provided legal counsel for nearly 17 years through the City Attorney’s Office to Boise municipal leaders, including the Boise mayor, city council, and all city entities.
“Matt has been a tremendous partner to us over the years, and his expertise has helped us navigate the constantly changing landscape of college athletics,” said Jeramiah Dickey, Boise State director of athletics. “With him in our foxhole, we’ve been able to make strategic decisions that improve the experience of all of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff. We appreciate him joining our team as he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as we continue to embrace What’s Next!”
Pantera joined Boise State as associate general counsel in April 2014. Prior to joining Boise State, she practiced at Hawley Troxell Ennis & Hawley and as a law clerk for Justice Jim Jones at the Idaho Supreme Court.
“The Office of General Counsel is a critical campus partner that supports everything from university contracts, infrastructure, and research, to academics and public service. Nikki’s experience and guidance are invaluable to Boise State and I am pleased that she will serve as our lead in-house legal counsel,” said Alicia Estey, chief financial and operating officer.
