The Convergent Engineering and Biomolecular Science Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (CEBS COBRE) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its FaCT Core Voucher Program.
Voucher details
Vouchers, valued at up to $5,000, are available to cover recharge fees, including student training, incurred at any of the FaCT Core’s recharge center facilities:
- Biomechanics & Mechanobiology Lab (BMMB)
- Boise State Center for Materials Characterization (BSCMC)
- Idaho Microfabrication Lab (IML)
- Research Machining & Engineering Services (RME)
Eligibility and purpose
To be eligible for voucher funding, proposed research must align with the CEBS COBRE’s overarching theme of biomedical devices, sensors or systems. This includes both basic research and clinical applications.
While the maximum voucher amount is $5,000, the program boasts a high success rate. The primary objective of these vouchers is to enable faculty, especially early-career researchers or those new to biomedical research, to acquire preliminary data essential for developing competitive extramural grant proposals.
All services supported by FaCT Core vouchers must be completed by Nov. 30, 2025.
