Prepare to be amazed at the breadth of research conducted by undergraduates in Idaho this year at the Idaho Conference on Undergraduate Research, held on July 16 and 17, 2025. This annual event will be hosted on Boise State campus in the Student Union Building.
This year’s event will feature 214 research projects from students attending Boise State, the University of Idaho, the College of Idaho, the College of Southern Idaho, the College of Western Idaho, Idaho State University, and Lewis-Clark State College.
The conference is free and open to the public.

This year, the conference will be held in-person, offering many opportunities for faculty and student networking, such as:
Workshop: Story of your Creative Activity and Research
9:15-10:45 a.m., July 16, in the Jordan Ballroom
In this workshop by Story Collider, students get the opportunity to make connections and craft stories of their research and creative activity. The goal of the workshop is to prepare students to have meaningful conversations about their work.
Meet A Professor
11:00 a.m.-noon, July 16 in the Jordan Ballroom
Meet a Professor is an interactive session designed to allow undergraduate students to connect with faculty in a casual, conversation-based setting. Students will rotate or self-select tables and engage directly with professors from a variety of disciplines to learn about their research, hear personal stories about their academic and career journeys, and gain insight into topics such as applying to graduate school, mentoring styles, and collaborating with students.
Whether you’re curious about a specific field of study or just want to better understand the paths professors have taken, this session offers a valuable space to ask questions, explore possibilities, and build relationships with academic mentors. Learn a bit about these professors.
