The Idaho Business Review’s full print archive will be stored and available to the public at Boise State’s Albertsons Library in Special Collections and Archives. The collection includes every issue of the business publication dating back to its launch in 1984.
As a July 7 article in The Idaho Business Review noted, the newspapers are now preserved in a climate-controlled environment on campus. The article quoted Cheryl Ostreicher, professor and head of Special Collections and Archives. “I love preserving history and making it available to people,” she said.
Boise State’s Special Collections and Archives is home to several significant collections related to local and regional history, including the papers of Sen. Frank Church, Gov. Cecil Andrus, the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and more. It is also a cultural repository with collections of Idaho music, comic books, zines, band uniforms and the famous fedora worn by celebrated Boise State football coach Lyle Smith.
