Gary Tucker, manager of the Launch Group for TechHelp’s studio\Blu, recently appeared on an episode of The Ranch Podcast.
During the episode, Tucker talked about the unique intersection between Boise State and the Idaho marketplace. Studio\Blu operates as a mini consulting agency where students from fields such as business, engineering and gaming, are hired to solve real-world problems for Idaho companies. These partners range from small startups to large corporations like Simplot.
Through these partnerships, students gain professional experience navigating marketplace trade-offs, client expectations and the real-world consequences of their work before graduation. The conversation highlighted studio\Blu’s tangible economic impact and the invaluable career advantage students gain by entering the workforce with a resume of quantified, professional successes.
Tucker credits Julieanna Castillo, a student in the career track MBA who leads studio\Blu’s social media, for facilitating the podcast appearance.
Studio\Blu is a division of TechHelp, which is part of the federal Manufacturing Extension Partnership program found in every state, helping small- and medium-sized manufacturers improve their products and processes.
