Applications open for graduate student travel funding

Applications are open for the Graduate College Travel Fund Awards, a tri-annual funding opportunity for graduate students at Boise State University. Travel funding is available for presentations at academic conferences and performances, exhibitions, readings and lecture recitals for graduate students in the arts. All Boise State graduate students are eligible to apply. Students who previously submitted a travel funding request but were not awarded funding may submit a new application. Applications are due by Nov. 1.

The travel awards provide $500 to $1,000 in conference travel costs per recipient. Only one award will be granted per graduate student in an academic year.

During the summer submission period, six graduate students were awarded the travel fund award. Through the use of this award, graduate students were able to travel to Vancouver, Canada, North Carolina and Washington state to present their scholarship and network with colleagues in their field.
