Emily Wakild interviewed about new book on teaching environmental history

Emily Wakild, a professor in the School of Public Service, and her co-author, Michelle K. Berry, were interviewed for a podcast on the New Books Network in late December. They talked about their book, “A Primer for Teaching Environmental History.”

Based on this book, Wakild and Berry have been invited to consult with universities, school districts and teachers around the world. These have included the ethnic studies division of the Austin Independent School District, in Texas; with teachers in Jefferson City and Warrensburg, Missouri, school districts through the Missouri Council for History Education; and with the school of education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the Groupe d’etude de la Didactique de l’Histoire in Switzerland.
