The Boise State University Japanese Club recently teamed up with the consular office of Japan in Portland, Oregon, and the Idaho Japanese Association to host Japanese Language Evening on the Boise State campus on Feb. 21.
Members of Boise State’s Japanese club, Boise State students currently enrolled in Japanese courses, and area students from Borah and Centennial High Schools attended the event. The evening included a Japanese study quiz, a calligraphy workshop and some friendly competition as Boise State students tested their knowledge against the high school students in trivia quizzes. Attendees also wrote Chinese characters (Kanji) with traditional brushes and ink.
