Mike Sharp joins Boise State University as the new director of media relations, coming from Idaho News 6, where he worked as executive producer.
A graduate of Boise State, Sharp grew up in Caldwell and has lived the majority of his life in the Treasure Valley. He comes to the university with experience in newspaper (Idaho Press-Tribune), radio (670 KBOI, KTIK, Newsradio KINF) and television (KTRV, KIVI).
He lives in Boise with his wife (also a Boise State graduate with a B.A. and an M.A.) and two children.
