Meet the Candidates for Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

During the week of April 5, the campus community is invited to meet the five candidates for Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at scheduled online forums.

At the forums, each candidate will present their response to the following question:

“The next provost will be expected to provide strong and visionary leadership to Boise State. As you look at the landscape of higher education, observe societal trends affecting public universities, and understand the unique characteristics of Boise and the state of Idaho, what do you see as the most significant challenges and opportunities that will shape the university over the next decade? In your response, please discuss how you would leverage your experience, expertise and leadership skills, and external partners, to effectively address the issues you identify.”

Each virtual presentation will last 15-20 minutes followed by one hour for question-and-answer. Due to time and formatting constraints, questions are being collected in advance and may be submitted online. There will be a limited opportunity for each candidate to address questions submitted live.

The schedule for the open forum series is presented below, along with brief candidate bios, links to join each Zoom session, and links to share your feedback by April 20 at 5 p.m.
