One of the older boilers in the campus heat plant is offline and awaiting repair. This unit will be down for an indeterminate amount of time as parts are no longer stocked for this model and new parts will have to manufactured.
To see campus through the remaining winter weather while awaiting parts, teams from Facilities, Operation and Maintenance will install a temporary boiler for use until the original can be repaired.
During this period while the temporary boiler is coming online those buildings that utilize steam as their major heat source could experience temperatures colder than normal.
The buildings impacted are:
- Riverfront Hall
- ExtraMile Arena
- Albertsons Library
- Education
- Bronco Gym
- Liberal Arts
- The Student Union Building
Maintenance crews are working hard to ensure all campus building will be comfortable as soon as possible.
