Volunteer for move-in day, Bronco Welcome events

The university’s signature event for new and returning students, Bronco Welcome, is set for Aug. 18-28 and all of campus is invited to help to welcome students. Volunteers are needed for a number of events throughout the first weeks of the semester.

Residence Hall Move-in

Move-in will take place Thursday, Aug. 18. Volunteers will greet students and their families, answer questions, and assist with wayfinding as they move into residence halls. This is an opportunity to showcase what it means to be part of the Bronco community.

Convocation

Convocation is the official academic welcome to the university for new students starting at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 in ExtraMile Arena. Sophomores are also invited to Convocation this year. Volunteers will greet students and families and help them find their seats.

B on the Blue

This annual photograph of students and their families inside Albertsons Stadium will immediately follow Convocation. Volunteers are needed to create a “spirit tunnel,” welcoming guests onto the Blue. Additional volunteers are also needed to direct guests into the formation of the Boise State “B.”

Information Tables

Faculty and staff volunteers are needed to answer questions from students about navigating the campus. Volunteers will be stationed at information tables around campus throughout the week.

Register to volunteer using the links above by Tuesday, Aug. 16. Faculty and staff are encouraged to connect with their supervisors for approval before registering for a volunteer role.
