Center for Global Engagement celebrates International Education Week

Join the Center for Global Engagement in celebrating International Education Week 2022. International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment. In support of this initiative, the Center for Global Engagement will host the following events, open to all students, faculty and staff. There is no RSVP required.

Monday, Nov. 14

2-3 p.m., Student Union Building, Ah Fong room
Country Presentation – Mozambique

Boise State student Gabriela Curtiz, is a tour guide in Gorongosa National Park (their first female guide). She will talk about her home country of Mozambique. Come to learn something new!

4-5 p.m., Student Union Building, Hatch C Ballroom
International Scholars

Why are scholars from around the world visiting Boise State to work and conduct research? Come find out who they are, what they are doing, and why they chose Boise State.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

12-2 p.m., Student Union Building, Lookout Room
Language, Identity and Culture Conference

Join in support of the Boise State University multilingual students, particularly those in English 101M (M = Multilingual) as they share their experiences navigating language, identity and culture. Free and open to all.

3-5:30 p.m., Student Equity Center Lounge
Coffee and Conversation

International Student Services will be hosting a special Coffee and Conversation for International Education Week. Come to drink coffee, eat snacks and test your international trivia knowledge.

Friday, Nov. 18

Join the around-the-world tabling event and get an insight into different Global Learning opportunities.

Country Presentation – Ukraine

Boise State visiting student Maryna Kucheriavas will give an  informative presentation about her home country of Ukraine. There will be time for questions at the end. Come to learn something new!
