School of Nursing Professor Cynthia Clark, PhD, RN, ANEF, FAAN, presented to a national audience of nurse educators at the 2012 National League for Nursing Education Summit in Anaheim, Calif. on Sept. 20. Her presentation was titled, “Effective Leadership to Foster Civility and Transform Nursing Education” focused on the causes and consequences of academic incivility and an evidence-based framework to create and sustain organizational civility, and foster healthy and collegial academic workplaces.
