Cynthia Clark, professor in the School of Nursing, presented the plenary address at the Creating Healthy Work Environments Conference in Indianapolis, Ind., on April 12. The conference was sponsored by Sigma Theta Tau International, the international honor society for nursing. Her presentation was titled “Creating and Sustaining Civility in Nursing Education and Practice” and focused on the causes and consequences of workplace incivility and evidence-based strategies to create and sustain organizational civility and healthy, collegial workplaces.
