Endowed Chair Presents Multiple Times at Simulation Meeting in China

Suzan Kardong-Edgren, the Joanna “Jody” DeMeyer Endowed Chair in Nursing, spoke in Shanghai, China in October as a plenary speaker on “Award-winning Research Abstracts” at the second annual Asia-Pacific Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare. She was also a co-plenary speaker with Sabrina Koh on “State of Simulation Science in Nursing in Asia and the United States” at the meeting.

Additionally, Kardong-Edgren presented a pre-conference workshop and sat on two panels during the conference. She presented a “Writing for Publication” pre-conference workshop with Jeffrey Groom and Suresh Pillai. Kardong-Edgren also presented with Samsun Lampotang, Mindi Anderson, Judy LeFlore, and Stephanie Sideras in a panel presentation on “Problems in Conducting Simulation-Based Research.” Kardong-Edgren presented with Mark Swartz and Guanchao Jiang on a panel on “Assessment in Healthcare Simulation,” before returning to the states.
