BOISE STATE PARKING ADVISORY
Attention Boise State Parking Permit Holders,
As the 2024–25 academic year winds down, we want to send a big thank you your way—for being part of the Boise State community and for navigating campus parking with us this year. Your partnership helps keep things running smoothly (even during the busiest weeks), and we appreciate it.
Looking ahead to 2025–26, we’ve got a few updates to help you get ready, including key dates, a small pricing change, and some smart tech upgrades we think you’ll like.
Permit Renewal and Sales Timeline
- Renewals begin: Monday, July 1, at 10 a.m. (MST)
- New permits go on sale: Monday, August 4, at 10 a.m. (MST)
You can purchase or renew your permit through the online parking portal or by visiting the Parking Office, located on the first floor of the Student Union Building during regular business hours.
Students who currently have a resident parking pass will be able to purchase a permit when new permits go on sale on Monday, August 4.
We’ll also send a friendly reminder as July approaches—because we get it, summer brain is real.
Permit Price Update
Starting this year, permit prices will increase by 1% each year for the next five years. It’s a small change—but it helps us take care of the lots, lights, signs, and systems that keep everything moving.
Say Goodbye to Decals!
No more peeling decals off your windshield or trying to get them off in 100-degree heat. Permits are going digital!
Your license plate is now your permit:
- Students: Register one vehicle
- Faculty and staff: Register up to two vehicles
It’s easier, cleaner, and—best of all—no scraping required. More details will be provided in the coming months. Stay tuned!
Smarter Garages Are Rolling Out
Some garages are getting a tech boost with real-time digital signs showing you where open spaces are. No more circling or guessing—just a smoother parking experience from the start.
These changes are part of our new Automated Parking Guidance System, and we’ll be rolling out more updates in the coming months.
