The Afterschool Alliance’s vision is to ensure that all youth have access to affordable, quality afterschool programs. Their mission is to engage public will to increase public and private investment in quality afterschool program initiatives at the national, state and local levels. More and more, parents understand the benefits of afterschool programs and are enrolling their kids in record numbers. Participation in afterschool programs continues to grow, but for every child who participates, there are two more who would like to — if a program were available.
