5 ½ Things to Do During Homecoming Week

1) Bronco Spirit Contests

Think you have the best tailgating recipe in all the land? Or the best-dressed Bronco pet? Enter one or all of the Bronco Spirit contests throughout the week including an office decorating contest if you work on campus. Show Bronco Nation what you’ve got. (And yes, there are prizes involved!)

2) Float Decorating Party

Student organizations are invited to join a float decorating party to show their Bronco pride. A variety of blue and orange decorations will be provided, but you can use your creativity to spice up your float. The best overall, most creative, and most spirited floats will win cash prizes!

3) Homecoming Parade

The Homecoming parade is Friday, October 6, at 6 p.m. It starts at Brady Street, follows Caesar Chavez Lane into the East Stadium parking lot, and ends at the intersection of Grant and University Drive. Enjoy the blue and orange extravaganza!

4) Dry Tailgate Party

Gear up for the Boise State vs. San Jose football game with a Dry Tailgate hosted by the Dean of Students on October 7, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students and families are invited to meet on the Taylor Hall Lawn for free food, fun games, and lively music.

5) Bronco Football Game

All the festivities of the week lead up to game day where the Boise State Broncos take on San Jose, starting at 6 p.m. Student tickets are free with a valid student ID. Practice your cheers, throw on your game day gear, and come support your Broncos!

5 ½) Parent & Family Weekend

That’s right, it’s Homecoming and Parent & Family Weekend all at once. That means there’s even more stuff to do! Invite your family and have some fun.
