Matthew Thorley

Matthew Thorley is an Australian born multi-disciplinary artist with a BFA from Curtin University, Western Australia. His practice begins by spending an extended length of time with a specific space, allowing various angles of inquiry to develop abstract representations. Thorley’s work invites the viewer to apply a softened focus and respond to a moment of contemplation and asks the viewer to consider the work as a static object that aspires to the act of movement.
