Executive Cabinet Members

Carson Cole is a senior earning Finance, Accounting, and Information Technology Management degrees with a Business Analytics Certificate. He has numerous involvements on campus, including ASBSU, Student Philanthropy Board, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Society, Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Carson is from Boise, Idaho, and he enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Carson has a passion for leadership, and he loves helping develop and assist future leaders at Boise State. His future pursuits currently include politics, cybersecurity, and business. A fun fact about Carson is that he loves playing guitar. Students can reach out to Carson about anything regarding ASBSU, student advocacy, leadership, campus involvement, or local government.

The President is in charge of setting the vision and direction of ASBSU, serving as the primary diplomat and representative of ASBSU to the university and the community at large.

Maddy Riley is a senior majoring in Health Studies with a minor in Psychology and is from Tustin, California. She is actively involved on campus through student government, Alpha Sigma Alpha, and her experience as a Resident Assistant, where she helped students build community and navigate college life. She enjoys spending time outdoors, whether backpacking, hiking, hammocking, or exploring the Boise area, and can often be found at the Rec Center or participating in campus organizations. A fun fact about her is that she has served on Alpha Sigma Alpha’s Accountability Board for two years and had the opportunity to serve as a Rho Gamma during recruitment. The Vice President will assist the President in all their responsibilities and will chair the General Assembly.

The AVPAA is the primary student representative on all academic issues, they are responsible for meeting with university administration and faculty on behalf of ASBSU and are in charge of chairing and representing the Academic Senate.

Zoey Ajemian is a senior majoring in criminal justice with a minor in legal studies and is from Las Vegas, Nevada. She enjoys staying involved on campus through organizations such as Pre-Law Society and Jewelry Club, as well as exploring new coffee shops and creating fun coffee drinks. A fun fact about her is that she has worked as a Boise State campus tour guide since her freshman year, helping prospective students learn more about the university and campus life. Students can reach out to Zoey for advice on getting involved on campus, becoming a club officer, working with student organizations, starting a new club, and finding opportunities to make the most of their college experience.

The AVPSG is the primary representative of student organizations to ASBSU and is responsible for chairing and managing the Funding Board.

Catie Tatom is a senior majoring in political science with a minor in legal studies and is from Boise, Idaho. She serves as president of the Pre-Law Society and the Political Science Association and plans to attend law school after earning her master’s degree. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. A fun fact about her is that she has completed pre-law programs through Harvard Law School and the Lex Fellowship in London, England. Students can reach out to Catie with questions about pre-law, the Ethics Affairs position, or concerns regarding the ASBSU Constitution and Code.

The AVPEA is responsible for holding all members of ASBSU to the Constitution, Code, and University Statement of Shared Values. They will process complaints from students regarding possible violations of the ASBSU Constitution and Code and are responsible for implementing code changes and code regulations passed by the legislature.

The AVPGA is the primary representative of Greek Life. They are in charge of meeting with and serving as a liaison between Greek Life communities and ASBSU.

The AVPIE is the primary representative of underserved student populations in ASBSU, and is in charge of appointing all underserved populations representatives to the General Assembly.

Rocket McFadden is a sophomore majoring in finance and is from Sacramento, California. He enjoys lifting, snowboarding, staying involved on campus, and playing both basketball and baseball. A fun fact about him is that he underwent Tommy John surgery and worked his way back from the injury through months of rehabilitation and hard work. In addition to serving in ASBSU, Rocket is a member of the Fiji Beta Psi Chapter, serves as the chapter’s Social Chair, and is a board member on the Student Philanthropy Board. The AVPSR is responsible for informing and educating students at large about the function and structure of ASBSU. They are the primary point of contact for the student body and are in charge of outreach to local and campus media outlets.

Ivan Perkins is a fourth-year Finance and Accountancy major in the Honors College of Business and Economics. In addition to his coursework, he holds strategic finance credentials from Harvard Business School and recently completed a semester abroad at the London School of Economics & Political Science.

Originally from Boise, Idaho, Ivan planned to pursue his academic and leadership journey at Boise State University. After graduation, He aspires to attend graduate school and work in commercial banking, where he hopes to engage in strategic financial analysis and contribute to businesses focused on long-term, sustainable growth. He has also completed internships in wealth management and asset management, strengthening his analytical skill set and commitment to serving others through financial stewardship.

Ivan is heavily involved across campus through several executive roles as Chief of Staff for ASBSU, Chief Finance Officer for the Inter-Fraternity Council, President of Tau Kappa Epsilon, and member of the Investment Banking Club and the Boise State University Student Investment Fund.

The Chief of Staff is responsible for monitoring and optimizing the use of ASBSU funds. They are ASBSU’s liaison to financial staff and oversee coordinating the taking and review of meeting minutes.

Caleb Perkins is a sophomore majoring in Political Science with a minor in Human Resource Management and is from Redondo Beach, California. He enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends, and cooking Italian cuisine. After graduation, Caleb plans to attend law school and pursue a career as a lifelong public servant. Students can reach out to Caleb for advice on civic engagement, advocacy, and finding ways to get involved on campus.

The Government Relations Officer is in charge of advocating for students to local government and political organizations, as well as for organizing collaborative efforts and events between those same groups.

Melanie Haught is a junior double majoring in Business Administration and Human Resource Management, with a minor in Nonprofit Management, and is from Bakersfield, California. She enjoys volunteering, attending Boise State sporting events, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. A fun fact about her is that one of her favorite parts of college has been planning events that bring people together while supporting meaningful causes. The Associate Vice President of Health and Wellness (AVPHW) will serve as the lead advocate and coordinator for student health and basic needs within ASBSU. This role will focus on promoting student well-being by strengthening access to resources such as counseling services, food and housing assistance, wellness education, and emergency support programs.

Kylee Gann is a senior majoring in Political Science with an emphasis in American Government and Public Policy and a minor in Legal Studies. She is from French Camp, California, and plans to attend law school after graduation. Kylee enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, watching sports, and staying involved in her community. A fun fact about her is that she played competitive softball for most of her life and was part of a national championship team. The Public Relations Director creates fun, engaging, and informative content and is responsible for planning and executing digital outreach across a variety of platforms. They are the primary point of contact for social media collaborations.

The Assembly Leader oversees the ASBSU Assembly, guiding student representatives as they draft, debate, and vote on legislation that impacts the student experience. They ensure student voices from across campus are heard and translated into meaningful action.

The Senate Leader chairs meetings of the ASBSU Senate, assigns members to legislative committees, and serves as a voting member of the Executive Cabinet. They help guide student representation, oversee funding decisions and policy discussions, and advocate for the needs and interests of the student body.
