Executive Cabinet Members

The president is in charge of setting the vision and direction of ASBSU, serving as the primary diplomat and representative of ASBSU to the university and the community at large.

The Vice President assists the president in all areas and is in charge of chairing and representing the General Assembly.

The AVPAA is the primary student representative on all academic issues, they are responsible for meeting with university administration and faculty on behalf of ASBSU and are in charge of chairing and representing the Academic Senate.

The AVPFA is the primary representative of student organizations to ASBSU and is responsible for chairing and managing the Funding Board.

The AVPGA is the primary representative of Greek Life. They are in charge of meeting with and serving as a liaison between Greek Life communities and ASBSU.

The AVPEA is responsible for ensuring that all ASBSU members are in compliance with the ASBSU constitution, code, and legislation.

The AVPIE is the primary representative of underserved student populations in ASBSU, and is in charge of appointing all underserved populations representatives to the General Assembly.

The AVPSR is responsible for informing and educating students at large about the function and structure of ASBSU. They are the primary point of contact for the student body and are in charge of outreach to local and campus media outlets.

The Chief of Staff is responsible for monitoring and optimizing the use of ASBSU funds. They are ASBSU’s liaison to financial staff and are in charge of coordinating the taking and review of meeting minutes.

The Government Relations Officer is in charge of advocating for students to local government and political organizations. As well as for organizing collaborative efforts and events between those same groups.

The Administrative Director is in charge of agendas and minutes for most ASBSU meetings, as well as coordinating clerical operations and special events planning.

The Elections Manager is responsible for coordinating all ASBSU elections, specifying the manner and conduct of elections to ensure they proceed smoothly and effectively.
