Course Description:

BIOL 497/597 Advanced Topics: Symbiosis (Spr, odd years). Symbiosis is the living together of different species. Organisms do not exist in isolation, but the degree of interaction between them can vary. Symbiosis is a continuum that spans from parasitism, where one organism exploits another, to mutualism, where both partners benefit from this interaction. In this course we will explore these relationships between different organisms and their evolution.
