Marine biology field course in South Africa

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to study biodiversity and further your marine biology skills in the kelp forests of South Africa? Cape RADD facilitates 2 week and 4 week field courses for students who want to learn more about the marine environment, conservation and research through hands on field experience and diver development. The course is comprised of approximately 30 contact hours in the classroom and 40 hours in the water for the 4 week course, runs every month, and is open to all students interested in developing their analytical, observational, and diving skills. The Cape RADD course runs every month and includes training in multiple data collection and field operation techniques, theoretical workshops on analysis techniques and tools like R and GIS. Come spend a month abroad, scuba diving and freediving in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Check out some of the free course content on our YouTube page!

Not a diver? That’s OK! Ask about how you can get involved as a conservation volunteer!
