BiomarkFor over 25 years Biomark has been a worldwide supplier in electronic identification technology to the fish, wildlife and other natural resource conservation communities. Biomark specializes in a low frequency, passive (no battery), RFID (radio frequency identification) tag (PIT tag) and related PIT tagging equipment. Biomark also provides specialized biological services to the fish and wildlife research community. These services include PIT tagging (insertion of the RFID device) fish and wildlife, study execution, and report writing. Barber Sensory Ecology LabThe Sensory Ecology Lab at Boise State University addresses behavioral, evolutionary and conservation-related questions. We employ bioacoustic and videographic techniques to quantify how animals process sensory input and act on the resulting information. Understanding how anthropogenic changes to the sensory environment alter behavior and ecological interactions also drives our work. Our approach combines field research and controlled experimental design with an emphasis on natural history. Boise State Snake River Plains HerbariumThe Snake River Plains (SRP) herbarium at Boise State University is a museum of plant, fungal, and lichen specimens to be used for basic and applied research by the Boise State University faculty, state and federal land managers working in southwest Idaho, and citizen scientists with legitimate botanical questions. Currently through the use of loans the collection is also accessible to the botanical community at large. HERC FellowshipThe HERC Fellowship is a paid, 10-week research experience offered to undergraduate students by the Institute for STEM & Diversity Initiatives. This fellowship gives students a $3,000 stipend, additional travel funds, and the opportunity to present their research. The HERC Fellowship is open to all STEM majors, including: students in natural sciences, social sciences, and health sciences. This program encourages first year researchers to apply. Idaho IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE)The Idaho INBRE Program offers 10-week fellowships for students interested in biomedical research. The program pays each awarded student to work full-time in an established faculty laboratory for the summer. In addition to doing guided research, students will attend professional development and scientific seminar presentations and will prepare a poster highlighting their work to be presented at the Idaho INBRE Summer Research Conference in Moscow.Fellowship
