Catherine Anders (Ph.D. Graduate) and Tyler Lawton (Ph.D. Student) published in the March 2022 edition of the Journal of Leukocyte Biology (JLB). The title of their paper is: “Use of integrated metabolomics, transcriptomics, and signal protein profile to characterize the effector function and associated metabotype of polarized macrophage phenotypes.” They found that macrophage functional plasticity of six macrophage phenotypes correlates with unique distinctions in cell-surface marker expression, signal protein secretion, transcriptomics profiles, and metabolic processes
