Preston Hazen – First-Author Paper Publication

Preston Hazen (Ph.D. Student) paper titled “Cholesterol and Q147E Deamidation Modulates αA-Crystallin Membrane Binding Elucidating Protective Role of Lens Membrane Composition Changes With Aging” was just published by Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science (IOVS). His paper presents new insights into how cholesterol and cholesterol bilayer domains (CBDs) contribute to maintaining lens transparency as we age, based on an in-depth study of human lenses from age-matched male and female donors.
