7th Annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit
It is no secret that the year 2020 tested all of us. Exposing the deep inequities in our health system, public safety, economic opportunities, and more — it is imperative that our community works together towards an inclusive recovery that unlocks opportunity for more people. At Blue Sky, it was the support from the community that helped us achieve our 2020 programming. We want to thank you, our community, and our stakeholders. Thank you to those who participated, presented, volunteered, and sponsored our work. Your support has allowed us to increase our impact and reach.
As we look forward to 2021, please save Tuesday, Oct 19th and Wednesday, Oct. 20th on your calendar for the 7th annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit. To learn more about our impact this year, check out our highlights below.
Our community is experiencing overlapping crises. With global demonstrations over racial injustice and the ongoing pandemic disproportionately impacting our communities of color, it is imperative now more than ever that we lay the foundation for an inclusive recovery that unlocks opportunity for more people. Join us at Blue Sky Institute’s first virtual Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Summit where together we can Build Empathy. Take Action. Ignite Change!
In the morning, gain skills in building empathy while listening to members of our community share their experiences, stories, and insights in a virtual creative storytelling approach created in partnership with Story, Story, Night.
Gain the skills to take action in the numerous breakout session opportunities ranging from cultural competency, inclusive cultures, activism, accessibility, and more!
And finally, ignite change by hearing from local change leaders and connecting with other participants to leverage the skills you gained at the Summit to create change in our life, work, school, and community.
What You’ll Get:
New tools, resources, and information for taking action
Increased empathy for and connection to one another
New and strengthened partnerships to support individual and collective DEI progress
The 2020 DEI Summit will be using Hopin with special thanks to Boise State’s Andrus Center who will be sponsoring our use of the platform. Hopin is an all-in-one live online events platform where attendees can learn, interact, and connect with people from anywhere in the world. It mirrors the in-person event experience almost exactly, more sustainably, accessible, and safely.
