Food and hygiene drives are an impactful way to keep the pantry stocked and provide much needed items for students!

Host a Product Drive

Product drives are great for large groups or organizations who want to get involved. Collecting food from community donations is one of the main ways our pantry gets new deliveries of food for our students. If your group or organization is interested in hosting a product drive, review the content below and complete the drive registration form. Email our Pantry team at campusfoodpantry@boisestate.edu with any questions.

10 Steps to a Successful Product Drive

  1. Designate roles within your group and establish a communication method that works best.
  2. Decide who you’d like to receive donations from. Who is your target audience?
  3. How will you reach your audience? You can choose to do a tabling event, reach out via email or phone, or find other ways to connect.
  4. What items do you plan on collecting? Check the Pantry donation page to see what is needed at the time.
  5. Set a goal! This could be the number of tabling events, amount of food collected, etc.
  6. Decide on a location to host the product drive. Where do you feel that you will be most successful?
  7. Choose the dates and times for your product drive. What works best for your group and your goal?
  8. Fill out the Registration form to register your upcoming drive with us and check out donation bins to collect donations if needed.
  9. Market and promote your drive! See below for additional ideas from our team.
