“Early in my career, I knew that I wanted to pursue a position where I could focus on teaching while still having opportunities for advancement and growth. Being a Clinical Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Boise State has allowed me to teach in an environment where my passion for chemistry education is supported, and I have the resources to improve upon my teaching skills and engage with leadership roles on campus. I consider myself lucky to work in a place where I can make a difference in my students’ experiences while being supported by the department and University.”

While working in the stockroom as a Laboratory Services Coordinator, I am honored to work with a team dedicated to providing the materials, supplies, and support necessary to promote excellence in chemistry education. Every day presents a new challenge as hundreds of students attend lab, and each challenge offers an opportunity for applying what I know, and learning more about how to better help students and instructors. The Stockroom team truly encompasses what it means to be dedicated to educating and serving students, and I’m proud to work with a team focused on promoting student success.”

“Being a student worker for the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Boise State is the perfect way to put into practice all the hours of hard work spent on textbooks. I work in the department’s stockroom and the Chemistry Instructional Center (CIC); it has been very rewarding to be able to help other students like me in their journey through chemistry. Both jobs taught me that chemistry can be fun when you dedicate time to it.
