The 2021 Boise Parks and Recreation Youth Services Annual Report mentions Sasha Wang, professor in the Department of Mathematics at Boise State, as a vital partner toward engaging youth in afterschool STEM programs in Boise.

The article states that the $2 million grant Wang received from the National Science Foundation increases, “access to high-quality out-of-school STEM programming for elementary youth of all backgrounds. This grant enables Boise State University education students to bring a variety of science, technology, engineering and math opportunities to our afterschool programs. The funding will last three years with Boise State providing students to lead and supplies to conduct the planned projects.”
