Boise State Music proudly shares that Derek Ganong, assistant professor of trumpet and director of jazz studies, has been selected for Yamaha’s 2023 “40 Under 40” Music Educator Award. According to their website, Yamaha launched the award and music education advocacy program to recognize and celebrate outstanding young music educators. Selected recipients consistently demonstrate and share the joy and power of music-making.
