Denver Museum of Nature and Science at Boise State

Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Environmental Research Building (ERB), Fifth Floor

The Boise State Department of Geosciences will host the film crew from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, in the Environmental Research Building. They will be filming for three live broadcasts of their Scientists in Action series, created for grades 4-12 and welcome all learners to interact with science talent.

In our case the scientists are Thomas Farrell, Boise State Ph.D. candidate, and Hannah Cothren, recent Utah State M.S., who will present material and answer questions for the live student audience on their work on the Cambrian stratigraphy and life preserved in the Grand Canyon and around the world.

The filming will take place on the 5th floor of the ERB at various locations that we’ll be finalizing during a rehearsal on Wednesday afternoon depending upon ambient light and noise. Filming may also take place in one of the laboratories or in the common area.
