Fred was a member of the faculty at Boise State University for 39 years in the College of Business and Economics. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Fred was the Internship Director for the Department of Accountancy. He also serviced on the Undergraduate Policy Committee for the College of Business and Economics.
Fred was a national instructor for the American Society of Certified Public Accountants. (AICPA) from 1990 – 2015. He enjoyed the interaction with fellow professionals that instructing afforded him, and acknowledges that through the discussions with other professionals, he always learned something new to share with his classes at Boise State. Seminar participants praised his ability to take governmental, not-for-profit accounting and auditing topics and make them interesting
 Fred is also a partner with a local CPA firm in Boise, Idaho, where his responsibilities include audits of affordable housing projects and not-for-profit entities. He has extensive experience in the affordable housing industry.
Education
Fred graduated cum laude from the University of Utah with a bachelor of science in accounting and also earned his MBA there.

Fred has taught introductory accounting, intermediate accounting, advanced accounting, and financial statement auditing.

Awards/Accomplishments
Fred has been awarded the Outstanding Teacher award for the Department of Accountancy. Fred has been named an Outstanding Discussion Leader for the AIPCA.
Service
Fred has served on the Peer Review Committee of the Idaho Society of CPAs. He has also served on the Quality Review Oversight Committee for the Idaho State Board of Accounting. Currently, he is servicing on the Finance Committee of the Catholic Charities of Idaho.
