Member levels

What is the difference between a Candidate, Member and Affiliate?

Students new to Beta Alpha Psi start off as a Candidate. Candidates must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, or 3.2 cumulative GPA for the last 30 credits. There is no GPA requirement for Graduate students. Candidates must be enrolled in upper division ACCT, FINAN or ITM courses. Candidates must attend 80% of meetings and must complete six hours of service per semester.

Once these requirements have been met for one semester, Candidates move up to Member status. Members will follow the same GPA, course, attendance and service requirements.

Affiliates are students who are not enrolled in upper level division courses, but wish to join Beta Alpha Psi. There is no GPA requirement for Affiliates and all grade levels are welcome. Affiliates must attend 20% of the meetings, and must complete two hours of service.
