Technical Electives

Technical electives are courses taken in fields related to Electrical & Computer Engineering.  Students may not use a course that is a degree requirement for their BS program as a Technical Elective.

Please note that the number of Technical Electives required for the Electrical Engineering (EE) BS program varies by catalog year. Current students can find their catalog year in the Academic Requirements Report on the Student Center. The Computer Engineering (CompE) BS (formerly Computer Systems Engineering, CSE BS) program has a Technical Elective requirement starting with the 2025 catalog requirements. Current students interested in changing catalogs can contact AdviseECE@boisestate.edu or meet with their assigned advisor.

Course details, including prerequisites and corequisites, may be accessed in the Online Course Catalog.
