ECE Doctoral Program Coordinator Dr. Kurtis Cantley will be hosting a graduate advising Q&A session during the ECE seminar on January 27.

In this brief orientation seminar, Dr. Cantley will talk about the ECE graduate programs at Boise State and answer all your questions about:

  • Navigating the ECE web site and grad student handbook
  • Graduate advising
  • Other resources from ECE, College of Engineering, and the Graduate College
  • Path to graduation including handling the comprehensive exam and dissertation proposal
  • Expectations for you as a student

Speaker Bio

Dr. Cantley is an associate professor in the ECE department at Boise State University and the ECE Ph.D. program coordinator. He leads the Electronic and Neuromorphic Devices and Systems (ENDS) Lab at Boise State. Since joining Boise State in 2013, Dr. Cantley has received Young Investigator Awards from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (2014), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (2017), as well as the NSF CAREER Award in 2018.
