The College of Engineering offers a variety of transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary master’s and doctoral programs allowing you the chance to discover your ideal academic home. Boise State is home to the largest graduate school in Idaho. COEN is home to over 500 graduate students who work alongside faculty to solve our world’s complex challenges through inclusion, innovation, and integrity.

Research Focus

The College of Engineering provides an accessible environment with an “unshakeable focus on learning.” Our courses offer students the opportunity for a variety of learning experiences from conventional lecture and laboratory courses, to distance and online learning. Classes are designed to encourage both individual and team efforts. Students have the opportunity to experience laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment. Our facilities are equipped with both PC and UNIX environments with the latest versions of software available. Faculty members are instrumental in obtaining substantial gifts and grants from industry and college partners for equipment to support both introductory and advanced studies in a wide range of disciplines.
