Biography
Dave researches techniques in geometric deep learning, with a current focus on applying and extending the geometric scattering transform in deep neural networks, especially for biomedical applications.
Before joining the Program in Computing at BSU, he earned an MS in Biostatistics from the Colorado School of Public Health. There, he worked as a statistical analyst on studies of PFAS chemical mixtures, cystic fibrosis, childhood leukemia, and the epigenetics of Type I diabetes. He was also part of the school’s COVID-19 modeling team.
Outside of research, Dave enjoys cooking, playing musical instruments, and spending time in the mountains.
