How to Register for Boise State Concurrent Enrollment Courses

Registration Eligibility and Deadlines

Concurrent Enrollment provides high school students with the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit for approved dual credit classes offered at their high school.

Student eligibility requirements:

have a 2.7 GPA; 3.0 is recommended.
have the consent of a parent or guardian if the student is under 18.

Concurrent Enrollment courses are created as semester and year-long courses.

Fall and year-long course registration begins in August.
Spring course registration begins in January.

Step 1 – Register through DualEnroll

DualEnroll is used by multiple Idaho colleges and universities for dual credit course registration. Each school has a unique website, but students use the same account/login information for all sites. Students should not create a separate account for each college/university. Our website is boisestate.dualenroll.com.

Registration Instructions

New Students

For new Boise State Concurrent Enrollment Students

If you have a DualEnroll account from CWI, CSI, or U of I, go to boisestate.dualenroll.com/users/sign_in (opens new tab) and log in. You will be prompted to complete steps 1-6 listed in this section.

If you do not have a DualEnroll account from CWI, CSI, or U of I go to boisestate.dualenroll.com/student/new (opens new tab).

Complete the New Student Registration online form to create your DualEnroll account.

Select the “Create Account” button at the bottom of the form and check your email for instructions about confirming your account. A second email will confirm the account activation.

Step 1: Personal information

Step 2: Citizenship
Step 3: Release of information (optional step to allow someone to contact our office on your behalf)
Step 4: Student terms and conditions (read each item carefully and check box at bottom)
Step 5: Parent/guardian consent (for students under the age of 18)
Step 6: High school graduation year

Once steps 1-6 are complete, register for your course(s). You will need to register for EACH Boise State course you plan to take.

Register for a course

On the ‘Courses’ tab, find your specific course, click on the title, and click the ‘Register’ button next to your school and instructor’s name.
From the ‘Status’ tab, click on ‘Student: Provide GPA’ and enter your current, cumulative, unweighted GPA.
GPA MUST BE ENTERED OR YOUR REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
Students under the age of 18 must provide parent/guardian consent.
Course registration can take up to two days to be processed.
Be sure to register for EACH Boise State course you plan to take.
You will receive email/text communications during the process and when your registration is complete. New students will also receive an admissions letter with your Boise State ID number and username.

Returning Students

For Returning Boise State Concurrent Enrollment Students

You have already completed your Concurrent Enrollment Application! Follow these steps to complete registration for your concurrent enrollment course(s).

Go to boisestate.dualenroll.com.
Log in to you existing DualEnroll account

You have already completed the application, so you will go directly to the course registration page. You will need to register for EACH Boise State course you plan to take.

On the ‘Courses’ tab, find your specific course, click on the title, and click the ‘Register’ button next to your school and instructor’s name.
From the ‘Status’ tab, click on ‘Student: Provide GPA’ and enter your current, cumulative, unweighted GPA. GPA must be entered or your registration will not be processed.
GPA MUST BE ENTERED OR YOUR REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
Students under the age of 18 must provide parent/guardian consent.

Step 2 – Request State Funding

Advanced Opportunities Funding

Concurrent Enrollment courses cost $75 per credit. For students attending Idaho public schools, the Advanced Opportunities Program may cover this cost.

Student Opportunities Assistance Program (SOAP)

Students attending private schools may be eligible for reimbursement of approved dual credit courses and/or specified exams. Course tuition must be paid up-front, then will be reimbursed if approved.

Step 3 – Pay Your Course Fees

If you do not qualify for Advanced Opportunities funding or are a private school student, please see payment options listed in this section.

Payment Options

Check or Money Order – Please make payable to Boise State University, write the student’s name and school on the memo line and submit to the Concurrent Enrollment Office (220 E. Parkcenter Blvd, Boise ID 83706-3940). Cash is not accepted.
Electronic Check/Credit/Debit Card – You can also pay fees through your myBoiseState account. Log on to your myBoiseState account. Select “Student Center.” Navigate to the Finance Section in Student Center, select “Make a payment,” and follow the instructions. A convenience fee of 2.85% (minimum $3) will be added to all credit or debit card payments. Bank account transactions are charged a $0.50 service charge. There is no fee for an electronic check.

NOTE: Concurrent Enrollment program students do not qualify for federal financial aid. Federal aid is designated for students who have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Additional Information

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (also known as the Buckley Amendment or FERPA) is a federal law that limits the amount of information the university can release about students without their specific written permission.

If a parent or guardian would like access to a Concurrent Enrollment student’s financial records, student education records, or admission records, the student must give their written consent. Students have an opportunity to provide this consent during Step 3 of the registration process through boisestate.dualenroll.com.

If a student doesn’t provide consent during the registration process, they can provide consent at anytime by completing the FERPA Release of Information Form and submitting it to the Boise State Registrar’s Office.
